Little Pause

The vicissitudes of life have thrown a minor wrench into the works of our researching and publishing activity. So we'll be taking a small break of a few months.

If all goes well, we should be back with a new piece shortly.

Thank you and a very happy autumn to you.

Americanization of French ethnic relations continues apace

A quick note to say that we'll be posting our next piece before the end of July. In the meantime...

...Tuesday morning: As is the case dozens of times a day every day in France, a car full of young Arab delinquents is stopped by the cops for driving erratically. When asked for his license (he's too young for one) and insurance  (he doesn't have it) for the 75,000€ car he's driving (his single mom is on welfare), this 17-year-old decides, as he's done many times before, to flee.

Before he can lead a wild goose chase and run over a hapless pedestrian (which happens every day in France) or try to flee the cops (which happens three times an HOUR in France, yes you read that right) by running them over, the cop shoots at the car, accidentally hits the teen, and he dies at the scene.

Usually when a foreign delinquent in a car tries to flee a cop in France (which, as noted, happens once every 20 minutes, that is 25,000 times a year), it's the cop who gets dragged / run over / paralyzed / killed.  From just the last few months,  à titre d'exemple :

Saint-Denis: Motorbike driver fleeing traffic stop runs over, seriously injures policeman

Vienne: Driver crashes through police checkpoint, sends police commander to hospital

Cannes: Two policemen sent to E.R. after being hit by motorcyclist fleeing traffic stop

Villejuif: Urban rodeo broken up by cops, one of whom is plowed into by fleeing biker

Castres: To avoid traffic stop, he hits cop with motorbike, sending him to E.R.

Lyon: To escape traffic stop at tollbooth, man crashes into cop car, two policemen injured

Melun: Motorbike drives on sidewalk, cop attempts to stop him, gets run over

Cannes: Driver of Nissan tries to run over police three times, the latter open fire

Narbonne: Two teens plow into six policeman while fleeing a traffic stop in stolen car

Béziers: Car thief attempts to plow into police, who are forced to open fire

Metz: Malian in BMW hits a policewoman while fleeing, then crashes into parked car

Nemours: Policeman severely injured after being dragged several meters by fleeing motorbike

Villecresnes: Policeman run over by fleeing motorcyclist during urban rodeo

Nantes: Tunisian illegal alien steals motorbike, attempts to run over policeman

Thonon-les-Bains: Fleeing a police stop, he embarks on a police chase and plows into cops

Toulouse: Driver flees police stop, tries to run over cops, who end up opening fire

So France's millions-strong youth delinquent class was incensed to see that once, just once, things didn't go their way.

In response, they are currently burning the entire country of France to the ground.

Friday night, French authorities reported 1350 cars set on fire, 266 buildings burned or vandalized (of which 26 were city halls and 24 schools), and 2560 fires set in the streets.

Leftists are wringing their hands about the evil police, Nahel's welfare mom (no dad in sight) is sobbing that he was a good boy who didn't do nuffin',...

...and soccer superstar Kylian Mpabbé (the French equivalent of Lebron James) has decried the loss of this young 'angel.'

(The 17-year-old angel, of course, already had 15 criminal charges including drug dealing, receiving stolen goods, resisting arrest, driving with stolen plates, driving without license or insurance...)

Nahel in happier times

Sound familiar?

Like in the U.S., the French imported an ethnically alien class to do the jobs they didn't want to do. Like in the U.S., they've proved unable or unwilling to send them back where they came from once their usefulness is outlived. And like in the U.S., this underclass has become actively hostile to the host population and today commits the lion's share of the country's violent crime. Including a pathological aversion to being pulled over by the cops.

Unlike in the U.S., however, France's Arab and African imports live high on the hog thanks to one of the most staggeringly generous welfare states in the world. Their housing is free, their health care is free, their bills are subsidized, they're showered daily with largesse from the French taxpayers whose cars they're currently lighting on fire.

So the notion that an 'underprivileged' immigrant class is pillaging Apple stores because they're starving to death is, to put it lightly, du grand n'importe quoi.

So France has its new George Floyd, and the Americanization of racial mores in France continues apace. More on this in the days to come.

Stay tuned for our latest piece coming soon.

Sweden: The Immigration About-face

We have chronicled Western Europe’s slow ethno-suicide for many years now (12 to be exact). The uncontested leader in the Great Replacement Olympics has long been Sweden.

A reminder of the flavor of modern Swedish multiculturalism:

Western European politicians and bureaucrats tend to be postmodern multiculturalists – in Sweden, fanatically so. They feel a contempt for their own civilization and they regard this contempt as a mark of sophistication and virtue.

They are especially fond of cultures that share their own contempt for the West, and hence there is no culture for which they show more deference than that of Islam.

Svenne Tvaerskaegg on his home country:

Every major event and holiday in Sweden — Christmas, Easter and Midsummer — is greeted with mocking newspaper articles and television programs informing Swedes that these traditional celebrations aren’t Swedish at all but foreign imports, and the cultureless Swedes don’t really have anything they can call their own

According to Fredrik Reinfeldt, ex-prime minister, “The original Swedish identity was just barbarism, and since then all progress has come from the outside.”

Alice Bah Kuhnke, the daughter of an immigrant from Gambia, recently appointed the Pakistani immigrant Qaisar Mahmood as chief of Sweden’s Cultural Heritage Archive. Mahmood has said he has never studied archeology or culture. [...]

The soil of Sweden is full of Viking artifacts, and building projects have often provided a rich source of objects for museums, but ... In the new, modern and multicultural Sweden, Viking amulets, bracelets and other historical objects are not considered worth preserving, so they are sent to metal reclamation centers and melted down as scrap.

But in September the country did an abrupt about-face, turning its back on decades of open-borderism by voting en masse for a nationalist-right party for the first time in modern history.

What has happened? And is this the canary in the coal mine for her neighbors?

Great Britain, great replacement? Census 2021

We have seen the data on the so-called 'great replacement' which Westerners are said to be visiting upon themselves: In the U.S., in France, in Belgium, Germany, Sweden.

For our piece on the U.K., we had no choice but to use the 2011 census numbers, as those from 2021 had not yet been published.

But they have now. So let us shine a light on the latest demographic snapshot of old Blighty.

Who's Replacing Whom? Part II: Belgium, U.K., Germany, Sweden

As we saw last time, France has become the epicenter of what Renaud Camus calls le Grand Remplacement in Europe.

But what about her neighbors?

Bassam Tibi, a Syrian-born professor who teaches in Gottingen, Germany, says:

Between the middle of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, the total number of Arabs increased from 80 million to 320 million. Today we can speak of about 400 million Arabs, of which 50% are under 20 years old. These only see a prospect for the future when fleeing to Europe.
That’s why Bernard Lewis in the quoted interview has suggested that Europe will be Arab-Islamic by the end of the 21st century. Ye’or also states: “Integration has generally failed.” Instead, “Islamization” is taking place.

Pew Research has crunched the numbers on Muslim immigration to Europe, giving a projection in 30 years if the inflows stay high (and there is no reason to believe they won't):

So what exactly does the data say about the demographic situation of France's neighbors? Let us take a look.

Who's Replacing Whom? Western Europe: France

[This piece was originally published on June 30th 2022, but was erased due to a technical glitch. Happily, the Wayback Machine has saved our bacon. Here it is again.]

The recent presidential election in France saw a new face on the scene: That of Eric Zemmour.

His major campaign theme was that France's indigenous population was being replaced by outsiders who are culturally foreign, with the zealous support of the globalist right and the open-borders left.

The name of this transformation? 'The Great Replacement.'

This notion is endorsed explicitly by Eric Zemmour's Reconquest party, and implicitly by Marine LePen's National Rally. Together, these two parties gobbled up 30% of the votes, more than President Macron's centrist Republic on the Move party (28%).

The Great Replacement is an idea referred to as 'far-right' by the mainstream press, implying that it is somehow a marginal notion.

Yet opinion polls in France show that this belief is anything but extreme. No less than sixty-one percent of French voters think that it is a reality.

Are they right?

And what of the rest Europe? And the Anglosphere?

The Other Imperial War

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has held the world spellbound. Not since the Yugoslav wars has Europe seen such a conflict on its doorstep. The massive land-driven invasion brings to mind images of WWII.

As always in the fog of war, propaganda is flying on all sides. The first European conflict of the social media age has whipped up the western world into a frenzy of virtue-signaling.

Steve Sailer reports:

The Metropolitan Opera said it would cut ties with Russian artists or institutions “allied” (to use state-funded NPR’s word) with President Vladimir Putin. … In Wales, an orchestra removed Tchaikovsky. … The University of Milano-Bicocca postponed a series of lectures on Fyodor Dostoevsky “to avoid any controversy.”

Governor Chris Sununu of New Hampshire signed an executive order directing state-run liquor stores to stop selling Russian products. Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Utah have done the same.  … FIFA has banned Russia indefinitely, meaning the country won’t be able to compete for the World Cup. The International Paralympic Committee has also banned Russian athletes.

What prides itself as the “United Nations of cat federations” (FIFe) has banned Russian-owned and Russian-bred cats from all competitions because it “cannot just witness these atrocities and do nothing.”

Russia's 'imperial' ambitions have shocked the West. Images of bombs falling on homes, tanks rolling through cities, dead children on stretchers—it is appalling.

So appalling, in fact, that it is easy to forget the murder and mayhem perpetrated by that other great imperial power these last 80 years. As 'Physicist Dave' puts it,

'Try to name all the countries that have been attacked, invaded, bombed, conquered, or had their governments overthrown by the US just during your lifetime.

Really — get a piece of paper and try to write them all down.

There are so many that I bet that you cannot even remember them all.'

We will take up the challenge.

America's imperial adventurism has become so omnipresent on planet Earth these last three-quarters of a century that we hardly seem to notice it.

In condemning the suffering caused by Mr. Putin's war, most Americans seem oblivious to the fact that their own tax dollars support a world-spanning empire that has its claws sunk into every inch of the globe, spying, prying, arming, meddling, funding, bombing, and starving. The 80-year 'Pax Americana' has come at an unimaginably heavy cost.

We thus propose to scrub off the blue and yellow greasepaint, just for a moment, and to remember that other long, long imperial war.

I. The Cold War

As the two big teams jockeyed for position on the planetary chessboard for half a century following WWII, the U.S. developed a mortal fear of anything even remotely redolent of socialism, be it near or far.

This led to regular covert and overt U.S. action against democratically-elected governments and in favor of dictators pledging allegiance to free-market capitalism.

A stroll down memory lane…
